Memories Shared
Since I was little, I remember waiting for mom to return from her friend’s wedding. I couldn’t wait to see the chocolate favors mom promised to bring back, knowing they’d be the best part of the day. My anticipation grew with every passing hour wiating to savor those delicious chocolates.
Just as I began to doze off, I hear mom stepped through the door, a big smile on her face and a small, elegant box in her hand. I quickly open the box, revealing an assortment of beautifully wrapped chocolates. My heart full of joy, the wait was worth it, every time.
Every holiday, dad would take me to visit the local chocolate stores; our noses filled with the sweet scent of cocoa. The shop owner will let me sample truffles, caramels, and my favorite, milk chocolate with hazelnut. Dad will always let me pick out a special box to take home, making me feel like the luckiest girl in the world.
